I did this piece for the Totoro Forest Project, which was a fundraising auction held at Pixar Animation Studios. The charity was established to raise funds for the Totoro no Furusato Forest Foundation, established by Hayao Miyazaki himself, to ensure the preservation of Sayama forest (aka Totoro Forest) from the threat of urban development.

John Lasseter himself won the auction on this one.

Peeping Totoro by *bpresing is just such a fun image, where impeccable articulation of caricature gives rise to great story-telling tension. The rendering itself lends great intrigue, with levels of depth achieved to resemble a collage of paper sculptures. A fantastic piece, through and through. LOL this looks so much like one of Indonesian folklores "Jaka Tarub" where Jaka Tarub peeks over 7 fairies bathe at the lake and he steals the clothes of one of them he likes best.
Beside of that, this artwork is amazing with the color tone and the shadings! Great great job
